Tucked into the historic hamlet of Pattemouche at 1600 metres, Chalet Baita 1697 is a beautifully restored 17th-century Piedmontese farmhouse with exceptional access to the mountains. The lifts connecting to La Via Lattea’s extensive ski area are only a few minutes’ walk away, while the Olympic cross-country ski trails are virtually on the doorstep.

Inside, designer Lucie McCullough has preserved the character of the original building, creating a warm, highly individual Alpine retreat. Rough-hewn stone, aged timber and fur throws give the chalet a wonderfully tactile feel, with a vaulted stone ceiling and substantial fireplace forming the heart of the main living space.
